Student Activities assistant Dave Kenney remarked in assembly, "If you weren't here last weekend, you missed it all..." It occurs to me that this must be an aspect of boarding school life that is impossible for outsiders to appreciate: all that goes on over the course of a weekend. This weekend started with some dynamite home games. Girls' varsity hockey took a 5-1 lead over Hebron, and held on for a 6-5 win.

Parent volunteers prepared a decadent breakfast buffet in the Wise Center Sunday from 10 to noon, as this term's pre-exam "Brain Break." Just back from an overnight at the Cabin with some buddies, Chris squirts whipped cream on pancakes.

Across the valley to the south, 220 ski racers from colleges, high schools and ski clubs are competing for the Macomber Cup at the Blackwater Ski Area.
