The quality of women's ice hockey has increased tremendously in the the past few years, and that quality is reflected in the play that we see today at the rink we know as "The Ted." Coach Christina Dotchin manages the most talented team we have seen, and her style of coaching is confident and wholly positive.
Assistant coach Doug Houston observes that the team has greater depth than ever before. The presence of strong skaters like junior Vika Mykolenko, can not be missed.
Vika's hustle and drive motivate a truly talented squad.
The team won two games in the last two days, over Kimball Union Academy, and Kents Hill School. When you can stick handle through traffic, as Nicky does here, you're "dangling....".
Sarah Paulshock circles for a rebound against Kents Hill.
Below, Vika backhands the puck for a tally after deking two defenders.
Goal!
Tonight, a very talented Kents Hill team took the lead after Proctor seemed to dominate the first period. The team in green answered with two in the second, and two in the third to clinch the win.
Fan support is key. Chris doesn't deny the fact: he's freezing.
