Flying Crepe

Eric Viandier's French 4 class--last seen roasting chestnuts over an open fire--set up a stove right in front of Maxwell Savage this afternoon to make crepes. Flour, sugar, eggs and milk....mixed and poured into a very hot pan.

When they're done, you sprinkle them with sugar, roll 'em up, and enjoy. Here, in a stunning application of intradisciniplinary learning, students just out of Spanish 3 enjoy a very sweet treat.

Sean was most successful at the high toss. If you look at the very top of this image, you'll see a crepe descending through the lower stratosphere:

But where will it land?

Spanish students tasting haute cuisine.
Sean enjoying his own work.
When it's first poured in, you coat the pan edges by rolling it around.
Tragic outcome: a wind-blown crepe ends up in a mud puddle. Quel domage!
