Five years ago, we posted a webpage on this site that received immediate positive response from current parents, who appreciated an institutional perspective on the terror in the world. A milestone in school web history of sorts, it was entitled The Strength of Doubt.

Today is just another day in the start-up process for a school year. Sports camps, which have been running since Tuesday, are finishing up. Twenty-seven girls have been working at soccer skills.

The same number have been out on Carr Field for the boys' squad.

Years ago, we used to worry about the (small) number of boys out for football. Today, quiet optimism exudes from a football camp that attracted 35 players!

Spirits are high, too, on the field hockey field...

This morning, in a dramatic demonstration of Proctor's egalitarian nature, administrators prepared breakfast-to-order for 109 new students in the Wise Community Center

At 10:00, Mike welcomed everyone and challenged students to consider the passions they wish to pursue here. "We, adults, are here to help you get there."

New students quickly learn the secret to gaining a presence on the web!
