The spring musical production of
Grease! opened Friday night to the first sell-out in the history of the Norris Family Theater. Once again, directors Michael Littman and Terry Stoecker have created a tight team out of forty individuals. Here's Kinley Viandier as Danny Zuko, boasting to his gang of his exploits with a summer love.
When Sandy shows up at Rydell High, Danny's allegiance is to his tough talking gang, who anticipate car races and rumbles with rivals. Charlie Veysey as Kenickie in Go Greased Lightening.
The show blends characterization of '50s teenage life with great music and hilarious comedy. Phill Wait sings Beauty School Drop Out as Teen Angel.
This production also blends experienced actors and actresses with several great new talents. One highlight is new-comer Jaguar Sasmito, as Roger, belting out Mooning to Jan (Jackie Cooper).
Danny grows to stand up to the peer pressure of his greaser friends, and becomes a track star.
But he's not the only one going through some changes! Sandy has grown, too, and emerges as a force.
