In our quest for current stories, it is customary--at the start of a vacation such as this--to feature various demonstrations of affection as students part for, well, nine days. The causes of this ritual are tough to trace, but it's safe to say that Proctor students comprise a fairly tight knit crowd.
Then there's the fact that thirty students are packing up for a ten-week trimester at one of our off-campus programs, and won't be seen until March. Betsy, for instance, is off to our campus in Aix-en-Provence.
While most of the passion appears genuine, it's a slippery slope....
And some of the hysteria seems to follow the lens of the camera....
No sadness here. These lucky folks have tickeets to the opening of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in Concord.
