Fall foliage is finally approaching peak color, and it seems it's showtime. One of our two drama troupes is performing Peter Lindel's Pultzer Prize winning The Effect of Gamma Rays On Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds tonight and Saturday in the Black Box Theater. The play, which explores survival in a highly dysfunctional home, has a cast of five, not counting a live rabbit and a dead cat.
The jazz/rock band is rehearsing a set of tunes that includes works by Duke Ellington, Van Morrison, Herbie Hancock and Mason Williams.
Devotees of nordic skiing staged a hilarious skit in Friday's assembly that featured a snow shower, followed by a series of events. Proctor's nordic program has yielded two current members of the US Ski team who will be competing February in Torino, Italy.
Patrice's ceramics students have been working on pieces that represent self. Alex shows his work to an admiring Jack (right, sporting green tam o'shanter with white shamrocks):
Physics students have fun with an electro-static generator. Bill (back center) is conducting a spark to Eben's face.
After assembly, Peer Outreach, our peer counseling team, reaches out for its yearbook photo.
