Traditions die hard, and students who wish to perpetuate "Casual Fridays" (a dress-up day of unknown origin) scold us who fail to play along.
They suggested--in front of hundreds of visitors--that we don't look very good. This peaked my interest in student appearance. These kids look like they stepped out of Zoolander:
