The annual Day Student & Family Picnic was held Tuesday evening in front of Cannon Dining Hall. Proctor is opening this year with 344 students--the largest population in history--due in part to the bounce in day enrollment to 73. Last night's welcoming event was orchestrated by Parent Association (PAPA) volunteers.
Thirty-five years ago, Proctor had very few day students, despite a long heritage of serving local students and families. Today, day students comprise a very strong, high achieving 21% of the student body. PAPA is also a remarkably strong, high achieving organization.
